May 13, 2016: To All My Readers

I just signed up for a beginners’ fundamentals online course through WordPress to try to grow my blog, and today’s assignment is: Today, publish a post you’d like your ideal reader to see, and include a new-to-you element. No joke, people.

I have been writing on this blog for a few months now, kind of going through it blind. When I saw the opportunity for this online course, I signed right up for it. This is definitely not the type of blog post I would have written in January, when I started the blog. In January I would have tried to sound more formal and sophisticated in my writing. giphy (2).gif

Now, I write like I would talk to you. Well, almost. I feel much more natural now when I write on here. Don’t you think? Now, I know I want to write on this blog solely for my benefit. Yours comes along for the ride. 😉

I would like to thank my followers who have been with me since the beginning or just joined. I would like to thank my followers I don’t have yet for supporting my unforeseen future.

I have struggled with what I wanted this blog to be about, and if you search around you’ll find a variety of posts. Then I decided what my blog is all about. My tagline says “a simple girl writing her way through life”. I am writing about everything in my life! This is not a lifestyle blog, per se, nor is it a book, tv, writing blog. This blog is about everything going on in my life whether that be about books, tv, writings, or a journal type post (like this one).

What initially attracted you to my blog? Was it a specific post? (I’d love know which one!) What do you hope to see in the future of this blog?

Much Love, XOXO,

~A Writer Named Charley~
