Poem: Wretched Wonderland

Wretched Wonderland

Gnarls of branches

twists of turns

gruesome toys hung

up in the boughs

of the terrifying trees

above the thicket

below the gray

below the thicket

isn’t ground

but rather beetles

scuttling their little legs

carrying Alice above

pulling Alice along

tugging Alice down

down to her execution

along the horrid path

above the murderous oysters

through all her wrongs

away from all her rights

Join Alice

Kill Alice

in wretched Wonderland

Off!

Off with her head!
