Poem: Page 63 Wishes

Page 63 Wishes

Reader

let me tell you about me

open to page 63

I’ll be there

waiting to tell you

the same story

again

No one ever dies

no one ever ails

No one ever

does anything here.

Perhaps if we wish

I could be there

next to you

breathing in the same hopes

as you, beautiful hidden royalty

then I could live

the life I know I was meant for

a life that seems ordinary

to life outside this fairytale

Reader,

just close your eyes

and blow the birthday candle

catch that wishing star

break the bone

until my warmth

warms you too.

Reader,

invite me to your world

where the breezes change

and the people do too

where the sun goes down

and the moon becomes full

just open here

page 63.
